 CALIFORNIA FEDERAL BANK BRANCH SYSTEM OPEN TODAY;
 WATTS BRANCH REPAIRS BEING COMPLETED
 LOS ANGELES, Calif., May 4, 1992 -- California Federal Bank today said its entire Los Angeles County branch system will be open for business today with extended hours.
 The bank's 56 branches in Los Angeles County will offer the extended hours in response to the increased demand for personal banking services. Branches will be open from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. through Wednesday, May 6, 1992.
 California Federal Bank's Watts branch, at 1601 E. 103rd Street, was heavily damaged during the recent unrest, but will reopen by noon today. The branch, which has continuously served the local community since the Watts disturbances in 1965, will provide its customers with most banking services while repairs are being completed.
 California Federal Bank, FSB, provides retail banking services and home mortgage loans through 183 branches in California, Florida, Nevada and Georgia.
