CALDOR NOT TO SELL HOWARD STERN'S BOOK "PRIVATE PARTS"

 NORWALK, Conn., Nov. 11 /PRNewswire/ -- The Caldor Corporation (NYSE: CLD) said today that the company had decided that the Howard Stern book, "Private Parts," would not be sold in its stores because they are self-service, general merchandise stores, which cater to many families, and the book is readily available elsewhere.
 The New York Times Best Seller List displayed at Caldor will show the book as No. 1 on the list, with a notation that it is unavailable at Caldor.
