CACI INTERNATIONAL INC AWARDED DEPARTMENT OF JUSTICE CONTRACT WITH TOTAL ESTIMATED VALUE OF $223 MILLION

ARLINGTON, Va., April 21 /PRNewswire/ -- CACI International Inc (NASDAQ: CACI) announced today that the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) has awarded it a contract to supply nationwide litigation support to its Environment and Natural Resources Division (ENRD). CACI is one of three companies awarded contracts with a total estimated value of $223 million over a five-year period. CACI's largest contract to date has been a $130 million contract awarded in the summer of 1991 for litigation support services for the Civil Division of the Department of Justice.
Under the contract, CACI will provide a wide range of services to support the division's attorneys, including document acquisition, document processing, database creation/utilization, and pretrial/trial support, among others. CACI has been providing similar services to the DOJ since 1978, but this is the company's first contract with ENRD.
The ENRD program has grown commensurately with the massive increase in the nation's environmental litigation since 1980. It is expected that the division's workload may increase by as much as 25 percent annually, particularly in the areas of complex natural resource damage and Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA) cases.
According to CACI Chairman, President and CEO Dr. Jack London, "This contract award is especially significant for CACI because it demonstrates the value we can provide our customers through our new technology solutions." London specifically noted that the company's ADIIS(TM) (Automated Document Image Indexing System) and hypermedia expertise are instrumental in performing the assignments under this contract. "Winning this contract has been one of our corporate priorities over the past 18 months," London said. "We believe all our DOJ customers will benefit by our expanded base of operations and the economies of scale we offer," he said.
