French asset services provider, CACEIS, has announced plans to take over Dutch custodian, KAS Bank.

The deal is to be closed for about EUR188m. The move is intended to allow the bank to extend its services to local pension funds and insurance companies. The acquisition is to increase the firm's assets under custody and administration (AUC/A) to EUR4.7tn.

The move comes as the firm is expanding in Germany, Netherlands and the UK.
