 CABLEVISION INDUSTRIES TO REDEEM 15-1/4 PERCENT SENIOR SUBORDINATED
 DISCOUNT NOTES AND 14-1/2 PERCENT SUBORDINATED DEBENTURES
 LIBERTY, N.Y., Jan. 23 /PRNewswire/ -- Cablevision Industries Corporation (CVI) today announced that it plans to redeem all of CVI's outstanding 15-1/4 percent senior subordinated discount notes due 1996 at par, plus accrued and unpaid interest thereon to the date fixed for redemption, which is Feb. 21, 1992.
 In addition, CVI has announced that it plans to redeem all of its 14-1/2 percent subordinated debentures due 2001 at a price equal to 105 percent of their principal amount, plus accrued and unpaid interest thereon to the date fixed for redemption, which is Feb. 26, 1992.
 CVI is effecting these redemptions with the proceeds from CVI's recent offering of $300,000,000 aggregate principal amount of 10-3/4 percent senior notes due 2002.
 CVI is the ninth largest independent cable television operator in the United States, serving approximately 1.1 million subscribers in 18 states.
