C-COR TO FURNISH AMPLIFIERS FOR SNET VIDEO-ON-DEMAND TRIAL OFFERING IN CONNECTICUT

 STATE COLLEGE, Pa., Nov. 9 /PRNewswire/ -- Richard E. Perry, chairman and chief executive officer of C-COR Electronics, Inc. (NASDAQ- NMS: CCBL) announced today that Southern New England Telephone (SNET) has selected C-COR's new 750 MHz trunk and line extender amplifiers for its trial offering of video-on-demand services to 1,500 homes in West Hartford, Conn.
 C-COR will ship the amplifiers in early November and C-COR's Field Engineering Services will be on site to assist in the installation, sweep, and balance of the system in late November. The SNET video network will be a newly constructed combination of fiber optic and aerial coaxial cable using 750 MHz, enabling delivery of over 110 television and video channels to subscribers. Services to be offered include traditional broadcast channels, extensive pay-per-view channels, and on-demand service which will provide hundreds of choices of videos, including movies and educational programs. Service is expected to start at the beginning of 1994.
