C-COR BOARD MEMBER, FORMER PRESIDENTIAL TECHNICAL ADVISOR NAMED PRESIDENT/COO AT C-COR

 STATE COLLEGE, Pa., Dec. 16 /PRNewswire/ -- C-COR Chairman, President and CEO Richard E. Perry today announced the appointment of Dr. William R. Graham, 55, as the company's president and chief operating officer, effective Jan. 1, 1993.
 Graham, who has served on C-COR's board of directors since 1990, will resign that post effective Dec. 31, 1992 to assume his new position. Also effective Jan. 1, 1993, Perry will serve as C-COR's chairman and chief executive officer.
 Graham was chairman of the board and chief executive officer of Xsirius, Inc., a research, development and product manufacturing firm headquartered in Arlington, Va., and chairman of the boards of its subsidiaries, Xsirius Superconductivity, Inc. and Advanced Photonix, Inc., respectively specializing in the development and manufacture of high-temperature superconducting microwave devices and low-level light detection components from January 1991 to November 1992. He became a director of Xsirius, Inc. in March, 1990.
 Prior to that Graham was senior vice president and a director of JAYCOR, a diversified high technology company, from June 1989 until he joined Xsirius. For nearly three years, from October 1986 to June 1989, he served as director of the Office of Science and Technology Policy and Science Advisor to the President of the United States.
 Graham is a director at Watkins Johnson Corporation.
 Graham received a B.S. in physics from California Institute of Technology in 1959, an M.S. in engineering science from Stanford University in 1961 and a Ph.D. in electrical engineering from Stanford in 1963. He has published numerous technical papers and holds memberships in Sigma Xi, Honorary Scientific Research Society; Tau Beta Pi, Honorary Engineering Society; and the Council on Foreign Relations.
 Commenting on the appointment, Perry stated, "We are extremely pleased to name someone with Graham's credentials to this new position. He brings an excellent background in technical management, a key factor in guiding C-COR in the communications technology marketplace through the '90s and beyond. His experience as a member of C-COR's Strategic Planning Committee of the board places him in an excellent position to be well versed on the goals and objectives of the company."
 C-COR, founded nearly 40 years ago, designs and manufactures high quality electronic equipment used in cable television and data communication systems throughout the world. C-COR has headquarters in State College, with production facilities in Tipton and State College, Pa. C-COR Electronics Canada, Inc., a subsidiary of C-COR Electronics, Inc. (NASDAQ-NMS: CCBL), is located in Ontario, Canada. C-COR/COMLUX Inc., C-COR's subsidiary manufacturing digital fiber optic products, is located in Fremont, Calif.
