C-COR APPOINTS VICE PRESIDENT-SALES AND MARKETING

 STATE COLLEGE, Pa., Nov. 23 ~PRNewswire~ -- Richard E. Perry, chairman, president and CEO of C-COR Electronics, Inc. (NASDAQ-NMS: CCBL), has announced the appointment of Fredric (Fritz) C. Amt as vice president-sales and marketing for C-COR Electronics, Inc., effective immediately.
 In this position, Amt will be responsible for markemt was manager of sales a marketing for Eaton Corporation's Pressure Sensors Division, a producer of commercial and military aerospace sensors, in Bethel, Conn.
 Prior to joining Eaton, Amt held the positions of director of sales for Amplica, Inc., a defense microwave electronics manufacturer, from 1988 to 1990, and director of sales for RLC Electronics, Inc., a manufacturer of microwave communications electronics components, from 1986-1988. He was the international and domestic sales manager for RF Cable Assembly products and Fiber Optics Business Unit manager of Times Fiber Communications, Inc., from 1981 to 1986. From 1975 to 1981, he was responsible for various program management and project leadership roles at Perkin Elmer Corporation, Optical Operations Directorate, which was involved with various NASA space programs.
 Commenting on the appointment, Perry stated, "We look forward to the positive impact Mr. Amt will make on C-COR's sales and marketing efforts. His technical expertise coupled with broad sales and marketing management experience will make him a valuable asset to our organization."
 Amt holds a master of business administration degree from the University of Connecticut and a bachelor of science in electrical engineering degree from Purdue University, and is a member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers.
 Amt, his wife Carol, and their three children will be relocating from Ridgefield, Conn., to State College.
 C-COR Electronics, Inc., founded nearly 40 years ago, designs and manufactures high quality electronic equipment used in cable television and data communication systems. C-COR's headquarters is in State College, with production facilities in Tipton and State College, Pa.
