C-COR ANNOUNCES NEW FLEXNET AMPLIFIER TO BE DISPLAYED AT NCTA SHOW

STATE COLLEGE, Pa., June 7 /PRNewswire/ -- C-COR will introduce its new FlexNet trunk amplifier at the NCTA Cable '93 Show in San Francisco, June 7-9, in booth 1933. The FlexNet amplifier was developed to allow cable operators to receive maximum benefit from their fiber network investments.
C-COR is now accepting orders for January 1994 delivery. The new amplifier features PHD technology, active distribution outputs, status monitoring capability, and a new 1 GHz platform housing. The FlexNet amplifier series is comprised of two main amplifier types: the FlexNet trunk, featuring one trunk level output and up to two high level distribution outputs and the FlexNet bridger, featuring up to two high level distribution outputs. The active outputs in the new amplifier series maximize the signal distribution efficiency in today's fiber rich architectures. The amplifier is available in 750 MHz and other bandwidths.
C-COR's Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, Richard E. Perry, stated, "With the addition of the FlexNet amplifier to C-COR's product line, we continue to offer full system solutions to the industry." Perry commented on the important features of the amplifier, "The cost-efficient packaging of the FlexNet amplifier, along with its status monitoring capability, gives the operator more control over system costs and maintenance."
