C&W negotiates sale

Cushman & Wakefield negotiated the sale of the former BSA facility at 475 Oberlin Avenue South in Lakewood, New Jersey. The property consists of a 112,500 square foot office, warehouse and light manufacturing facility on a 12.3-acre site.

Town & Country Linen Corp., a leading manufacturer of table top home furnishings, purchased the property from the Acxiom Corporation of Conway, Arkansas, according to Herb Horn and David Knee of Cushman & Wakefield's Edison office. C&W was the exclusive broker on the property and represented both the seller and the buyer in the transaction.

Over the next two years, Town & Country Linen Corporation's corporate offices will relocate from New York City to the Lakewood building. The facility will immediately employ approximately 150 people and will draw these employees from the surrounding Ocean County area, according to Horn.

The building, located in this strategic Ocean County business area, is a modern, single story corporate headquarters building containing office space, a cafeteria and a raised floor computer room with its own five ton Leibert HVAC unit. The site can be expanded by 100,000 square feet and contains parking for 180 cars. The 87,500 square feet of warehouse space features ceiling heights of 24-foot, six tailgate docks, one drive-in door and 25- by 50-foot column spacing.
