C&W named to manage IM sf Americas Tower

KG A & A Corp., the owner of Americas Tower, has appointed Cushman & Wakefield managing agent for the nearly 1 million square foot office building at 1177 Avenue of the Americas, scheduled to open this Spring.

In that role, Cushman & Wakefield will be responsible for the maintenance and operations of the office tower. The announcement comes on the heels of Cushman & Wakefield being appointed leasing agent for the building in August.

"Now that the construction process is being concluded, we have put in place an important component of the ongoing management of Americas Tower," said Dr. Katsuhiko Takahashi, chairman of KG A & A Corp., which owns the building. "As managing agent, Cushman & Wakefield's reputation for building maintenance operations will be a valued asset to Americas Tower and its tenants. Our relationship with Cushman & Wakefield has been such that we were excited about the management capacities they could offer us."
