New Delhi, Nov. 10 -- Having three completely different experiences in a month to do with wheels of some sort is hard to come by. I wrote about the changes coming on in MotoGP and will write more when I get some inside dope. Eyes and ears are open as Honda and Ducati have new riders and their team of tuners, engineers etc move in. More later.
First, I was in Canada for a week and to my utter surprise a friendly neighbor, an extremely gentle and kind person, a hard core bike rider bumped into me in the area I was staying and offered me his mid 2005 Fat Boy Harley Davidson for my entire stay! My firm belief that real motorcycle riders are 'good' people was reinforced. Not just because he handed over his prize bike, but also because he constantly helps his neighbors in small and big chores, for free. He didn't want his name mentioned and I respect him for that.
A leather bomber jacket, helmet and gloves came along with the gift. October middle and Toronto was getting chilly. I have never had a chance to live with a Harley. To be frank I have never liked Harley Davidson bikes. To me they look strange, sound ridiculously loud, the machinery is dated, everything on it looks like an 'after thought', handle like pigs and have been associated with rough guys ever since.
