An autumn hike through Mount Pisgah's trail system will be held from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday, and will be led by Friends of Buford Park board member Jim Nelson. The hike will mostly travel through the site's Swing Hill and Trail 3, part of which is new thanks to renovation by members. The Friends' newest project, Spring Box Prairie, also will be part of the hike. Register at 541-344-8350.
More than 83,000 boat registration renewals will be sent by the Oregon Marine Board this week. Owners wanting to renew need to visit boatoregon.com, and follow links to renew for free. And for those who let their registration lapse last year (decals that expired Dec. 31, 2010) can still renew by calling 503-378-8587.
