SIP, NIBBLE AND VOTE

It's a bit early yet, but the Backstreet Gallery is already in the Spirit of Halloween, cele brating 27 local artists at a reception during this weekend's Second Saturday Gallery Tour. Stop by 1421 Bay St. in Florence from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. and cast your vote for the people's choice art award.

JAZZ FOR DINNER

It's a feast for both the ears and the tummy Saturday at 7:30 p.m. when the Tony Glausi Quintet plays a concert at 911 W. Broadway. One catch: You bring the food; the intermissio n repast is potluck. Glausi (trumpet, flugelhorn), Josh Hettwer (tenor sax, clarinet), Torrey Newhart (keyboard), Sean Peterson (bass) and Adam Carlson (drums) offer original compositions and straight-ahead jazz. Admission is $7, but students get in for $5.
