Butler's back but on the run in Angel Has Fallen.

Lonsdale, Annan/ Vue, Carlisle IT-Chapter Two (15). After you thought that Pennywise was in hibernation in the original IT, he is back 27 years later.

The original members of the Loser's Club are grown up and gone except for Mike who has stayed in the town of Derry but has a substance abuse problem. When kids start to disappear, he realises that the ancient trans-dimensional monster spirit is back and contacts the other members of the club who return to face their old nemesis.

With Bill Skarsgard back as Pennywise and James McAvoy as the adult Bill Denborough, who like the others have to face and conquer their deepest fears, the scene is set for a terrifying confrontation.

Angel Has Fallen (15). Gerard Butler is back as Secret Service agent, Mike Banning who this time is on the run as a suspect in a Presidential assassination attempt.

The Current War (12A). Matinees at Annan only from today for Benedict Cumberbatch as Thomas Edison facing a technical war over his system for electrical current to light up New York Fleabag. This is the stage performance by the writer of the BBC TV hit show, Phoebe Waller-Bridge, in this sell-out NT -Live event. Thursday at both cinemas.

Once Upon A Time in Hollywood (18). At the Vue only you can still see Quentin Tarantino's, with Leonardo Di Caprio and Brad Pitt in a great double act.

Crawl (15). The alligator thriller to rival Jaws as a plucky woman has to save her father from a hurricane and an invasion of alligators in the front room. Vue only.

Scary Stories To Tell in The Dark (15). One to see after IT 2, as another group of youngsters find a book in an old dark house and unleash the monsters from each story. Vue Only.

Burns Centre, Dumfries The Lion King (PG). More shows for Disney's re-make hit tomorrow and Thursday.

Photograph (15). This is a gentle comedy romance from India. In Mumbai, an impoverished photographer takes a picture of a student, but she runs away before he can show it to her. But pressurised by his grandmother to settle down he gives her the picture pretending that she is his girlfriend. When grandma comes to stay, he has to find the girl and persuade her to pretend to be his girl. This is a warm-hearted charmer from the director of 'The Lunchbox'.

Afghan Cycles (12). On Thursday only a documentary about Afghan women challenging gender and cultural taboos to enjoy the liberation of cycling. A discussion will follow the film.

The Fullarton, Castle Douglas Margaret Attwood: Live in Cinemas. Tonight only, on the eve of the publication of her sequel to her book, The Handmaid's Tale called The Testaments, a live interview with the celebrated author.

Fleabag. A one- woman show by Phoebe Waller-Bridge, the writer of the award- winning BBC hit show that has played to sell-out audiences in New York and London. Thursday only.
