Businesses join forces to aid start-ups.
TWO North East businesses are joining together to create a freescheme worth PS7,000 to start-ups, with a potential economic value of PS5,000,000.
Harlands Accountants is joining forces with North East business support company TEDCO Business Support to create a scheme which will benefit 100 start-ups across the region and in turn boost the local economy.
The scheme will combine the Harlands 'Get Started' service with TEDCO's 'Start and Grow' programme and provide new businesses access to support worth PS7,000. Harlands Accountants will provide free subscriptions and training and support for 12 months to cloud-based accountancy software Xero and also further expert financial advice on starting up a business.
This will be supplemented by the 'Start and Grow' programme from TEDCO which includes an intensive personalised support programme, including guidance, advice and peer learning, leading to the development of a business plan, dedicated support in an application for external funding and ongoing support after business start-up.
