Sara Brandt has joined the Oregon Community Foundation in Eugene as assistant regional development director. She will assist individuals, organizations, and their advisers in setting up charitable funds. Brandt most recently served as client services and marketing director with Journey Tree Financial Planning and Investment.

Sandy Liberty recently joined the sales team of FOX and UPN Television in Eugene. A graduate in communications from the University of California, San Diego and an exchange student to the University of Barcelona, Liberty has experience in the advertising industry as a media buyer and sales representative.

Rhonda Kalista has joined Bellissimo Coffee Infogroup in Eugene as administrative director. She is responsible for operations including inventory and shipping management, trade show coordination, purchasing, accounts payable and receivable, and quality and cost controls. Kalista previously held public relations and customer service positions in San Francisco.

Mark Ockelmann has joined Willamette Stationers in Eugene as a retail specialist. Formerly with Chapman Brothers, he has more than 15 years of experience in retail office products. Also, Stephen Briggs joins Willamette Stationers as a commercial account representative. Briggs, formerly with Unisource, has a background in paper products and customer service. Also, Kathy Crawford has joined Willamette Stationers as a commercial account representative. Formerly with Arch Paging, Crawford has more than 18 years of customer service experience.

Effective June 1, Doris Towery, publisher of The Springfield News and the Cottage Grove Sentinel, will leave the newspaper business and become development director for United Way of Lane County. She will oversee the Leadership Giving Circle, a group of individuals who annually donate $1,000 or more. Towery will also work with United Way volunteers and donors through leadership and planned giving programs. Towery was named publisher of the two newspapers in 2000.
