Bus wait misery; your LETTERS.

I RECENTLY voiced my views on the non-availability for some weeks of the much-acclaimed Bus Information Board at Ysbyty Gwynedd, and was glad, as many others were, to be informed that Gwynedd County Council, who financed the project in conjunction with the Health Authority, would now contribute towards the cost.

The information that was shown on the board was extremely helpful and would-be bus travellers did not have to leave the comfort of the hospital building until only a few minutes before departure time. Since the board showed departure times of buses to Anglesey and Llandudno why do Anglesey and Conwy Councils not contribute to the costs if Gwynedd, as mentioned in their statement, feel the project was rather costly, and quoted that as one reason for switching the board off? I hate to think of the torment of the many hospital visitors who in the last few days have had to battle the rain and strong winds.

The bus shelter is extremely draughty, invariable wet and completely inhospitable.

The public should now campaign vigorously through our councillors and community councils, for the health authority and Gwynedd and Anglesey County Council to have a proper bus shelter built much nearer to the main hospital building at Ysbyty Gwynedd Rol Williams Waunfawr
