Bus seized by armed hijacker on autobahn.
The incident took place on the city's southern outskirts when the bus was heading towards Hanover on the A27 autobahn.
The bus driver called police soon after beginning his trip at 9:17 am to say the bus had been hijacked.
The man is described as in his 20s with Mediterranean features.
Two weeks ago a bank robber hijacked a bus in Berlin.
Police stormed that vehicle after a four-hour stand-off, rescuing his two hostages unharmed and shooting and wounding the hijacker.
