Bus crash girl 'lucky'.

Byline: PETER MARTELL

AN 11-year-old girl cycling home from school walked away after crashing head-on into a double- decker bus.

Schoolgirl Vicky McDonald pulled out to pass a bus at a bus stop on her 10-mile journey to her home in Moredun, Edinburgh.

But the terrified youngster found herself heading straight for the number 16.

Miraculously she landed between the two buses and only suffered a double-fracture to her wrist, cuts and bruises.

Vicky's mum, Susan, 39, said: "She was very lucky."
