Burley tips City.

Derby County boss George Burley has backed Cardiff City to be Division One's dark horses next season.

Burley saved the Rams from the drop last season, but is well aware that next season's campaign could be even tougher.

The quality of the three teams relegated from the Premiership added to West Ham, Ipswich and what Burley says will be a resurgent Nottingham Forest will lead the way but he backs the Bluebirds to be right among them.

'If you're looking for a dark horse I'd say Cardiff,' he said. 'I don't think they will be far away.

'You look at the clubs coming down and you've got to fancy Wolves.

'Leeds are a bit of an unknown quantity, because they have their problems, but Leicester will be competitive.'
