On September 7th, '2019 HWPL Peace Summit' will be held in Wagadougou, in Burkina Faso in cooperation with HWPL, an international peace NGO under the UN ECOSOC. With the theme of 'Legislate Peace - Implementation of the DPCW for Sustainable Development', the event is aimed to raise public awareness of the establishment of international law for peace.

In particular, the public institutions in Burkina Faso that have furnished the book, 'True Story of HWPL: Peace and Cessation of War' will be expected to support the event.

The book introduces the Declaration of Peace and Cessation of War (DPCW) of 10 articles and 38 clauses drafted by renowned international law experts, as a practical approach to sustainable peace through conflict prevention, mediation and resolution.

The DPCW that clarifies the role of the members of international society to prevent and resolve conflicts is in the process of being introduced to the UN as a draft resolution.

As a part of the process, HWPL promoted the worldwide 'Legislate Peace' project, which has gained 1.5 million supports from 195 countries through supporting signatures and peace letters written to their respective national leaders.

'2019 HWPL World Peace Summit' will be hosted over 150 locations in 110 countries including South Korea, France, Australia, Russia, India, Zambia, and the United States of America in cooperation between an international peace NGO named HWPL and international actors - civil society organizations and governments.
