Burglars net valuable gems and coins haul.
Among the items taken were a ladies' wristwatch, with diamonds set in platinum, two link gold curb bracelets, a ladies' gold bracelet with pearls and rubies, and a gents' 22 ct gold wedding ring.
Other jewellery stolen from the house in Serpentine Road, Blundellsands, included a platinum wedding ring, a 9ct gold cameo ring, a pearl and amethyst pendant set in gold, a gents' gold signet ring, a pair of diamond earrings set in white gold, and a gents' gold Itaglio ring with Roman head motif.
The burglars also took an amethyst, pearl and gold necklet, a Victorian cornelian cameo brooch, set in 15ct gold with matching earrings, and a Victorian oval cameo brooch set in gold.
Also missing is an Indian silver bracelet which is 1.25ins wide.
A $20 gold coin, two $10 gold coins, two 50 peso gold coins and an Isle of Man pounds 5 gold coin were also among valuable items stolen.
The burglary occurred between 11.30am on Saturday, and 9.45pm on Sunday.
