Burglar's sex attack on woman in own home.
Colin Adams, 22, sexually assaulted the 47-year-old before stealing car keys, a mobile phone and a packet of cigarettes.
A Liverpool crown court jury unanimously convicted Adams, of Lancaster Avenue, Wallasey, of burglary and sexual assault.
Adams was arrested when he crashed his victim's daughter's car in Con-way Street, Birkenhead.
He said he had taken drink and drugs that night and denied going into the victim's house, claiming a man had handed him some car keys and he drove away.
The court heard a DNA swab found on the victim matched that of Adams and a forensic scientist concluded the chances of it coming from someone other than the defendant was one in a billion.
Theresa Loftus, prosecuting, told the jury: "He was responsible for performing a frightening, unpleasant and humiliating sexual assault on the woman with her daughter present."
Judge David Boulton ordered a pre-sentence report to be compiled on Adams and will sentence him November 3.
