Burak named at 809 U.N. Plaza.

Michael A. Burak Inc. has been appointed exclusive leasing and managing agent for the Institute of International Education building at 809 U.N. Plaza. The 90,000 square-foot office building on First Avenue directly across from the United Nations has a tenant roster which includes the World Bank and the diplomatic missions from Austria, Belgium, Chile and Spain in addition to being the New York headquarters for the Institute of International Education.

This is the second major assignment in the U.N. district for the Burak organization. The firm is the exclusive leasing and managing agent for 777 U.N. Plaza known as The Church Center for the United Nations. This 60,000 square-foot building is famous for its interfaith chapel on the ground floor. The tenant roster includes The Cousteau Society, amnesty International and the International Peace Academy. The building houses many of the U.N. offices of the major religious organizations.

Other not for profit properties in the Burak portfolio includes acting as consultant to the Alma Mather House at 273 West 11th Street a hotel operated for clergy and religious officials visiting the U.N. and New York City.
