Bulls rack up super double.

HEREFORD 4 SOUTHPORT 1 GOALS from Michael Rankine (2), Jon Brown and Dan Walker swept financially stricken Hereford to their first league double of the campaign.

The Bulls, who beat Southport 3-0 in November, were the more threatening side in the first half.

In the 18th minute, Rankine was only a foot off target with an 18-yarder and 13 minutes later Brown shot them ahead after keeper Danny Hurst could only push away Chris Sharp's cross.

Ten minutes after the break, Rankine extended the Bulls' lead, swivelling to smash the ball into the far corner of the net off a post.

In the 56th-minute, Sharp set up Hereford's third goal, crossing to Walker who netted from close range.

In the 61st minute, Steve Akrigg reduced arrears only to be sent off in the 88th minute just before Rankine netted again.
