Bullet train runs on Akita Shinkansen Line disrupted due to rain.

AKITA, Japan, July 19 Kyodo

One bullet train run was canceled and 14 other runs were partially cancelled Sunday on the Akita Shinkansen Line due to heavy rain, East Japan Railway Co. said.

The Komachi No. 19 bound for Akita, northeastern Japan, from Tokyo was canceled, while the 14 other runs were canceled between Akita and Morioka, according to the railway operator known as JR East.

The Japan Meteorological Agency issued a warning Sunday morning for heavy rain in extensive areas of Japan, including the Tohoku region in northeastern Japan.
