Builders care for nature.

A new North East housing development is offering buyers more than the regular fixtures and fittings when they purchase their new home.

Rivergreen Development plc is building 66 new houses on a former brown field site at Consett, County Durham.

And to encourage new residents at Derwent Garden Village to care for their surroundings at the former reservoir, Rivergreen has joined forces with Durham Wildlife Trust and Northumbrian Water to produce a pack, including a year's free membership to Durham Wildlife Trust, free water spray and discounted composters.
