Builder keeps ball rolling.
A JUNIOR football club has been given a cash boost by a local housebuilder.
Thornaby and Ingleby Barwick Football Club (TIBS FC) has received a donation of over PS650 from homebuilder, Taylor Wimpey North Yorkshire. The club is just a short distance from the homebuilder's Rose Cottage Farm development in Stainton, and has used the donation to purchase new tracksuits for its under 13s team.
Lee Harding, team manager for the under 13s, said: "As we are a non-profit organisation, we rely on the support of local businesses, so it's fantastic that Taylor Wimpey has chosen to sponsor us for the forthcoming season. The boys have been promoted to division one after their most successful season to date, so we're hoping the new tracksuits will continue the lucky streak."
Debbie Whittingham, sales and marketing director at Taylor Wimpey North Yorkshire, said: "We're thrilled to be sponsoring TIBS FC and to be getting involved with the local community. With all the time and dedication the players and trainers put into the club, we jumped at the chance to help out."
