Budget in solar boost.

Bosses of a North East firm which installs solar power systems say the Budget is a boost for families seeking to harness the sun to heat their homes.

In his Budget, Chancellor Gordon Brown announced a new pounds 50m fund for microgeneration technologies ( a move welcomed by bosses of the North East's largest supplier and manufacturer of solar power systems, Zen Eaga Solar, based in Jesmond, Newcastle.

They say the cash will help householders install renewable energy systems and will make it easier for schools, housing associations and businesses to use technologies like solar systems.
