Bud Dry outsells other rollout brands

Bud Dry Draft, the newest member of the Budweiser family, is expected to reach four million barrels in 1990, according to Anheuser-Busch, Inc. The output, the brewer said, will surpass national rollout figures for Miller Lite, Keystone/Keystone Light, and Miller Genuine Draft. Over the first nine months of national distribution, sales reached 3.2 million barrels.

"Bud Dry Draft is the hottest new beer brand on the market," said August Busch IV, Bud Dry's brand manager. "Product sales have surpassed even our most optimistic expectations; so much so, in fact, that we experienced some product shortages in the early going.

"The performance of Bud Dry," Busch continued, "is a reflection of growing consumer demand for a unique, quality product, as well as proff that Anheuser-Busch wholesalers are the best in the beer business."

In addition to benefitting from the tradition of the Budweiser label, Bud Dry has taken its place next to Bud and Bud Light in all Budweiser promotions, which in 1991 will include Bud Bowl 3, St. Patrick's Day, Fourth of July, Labor Day, and Halloween.
