Bryson roaring to go with Tiger.

BRYSON DECHAMBEAU is dreaming of a Ryder Cup double act alongside Tiger Woods after playing with his boyhood idol in a tourney for the first time.

DeChambeau is on the brink of back-to-back FEDEXCUP play-off wins after an eight-under 63 in his Dell Technologies Championship third round.

Woods, also banking on a Ryder Cup wild card, had to settle for a 68 as the sight of the two at TPC Boston heightened talk of a reunion in Paris at the end of the month. DeChambeau said: "If all the stars were to align and that were to happen we could feed off of each other pretty well."

DeChambeau joins England's Tyrrell Hatton (69) in being one off leader Abraham Ancer after a 65 sent the Mexican to 13 under.

Rory McIlroy is four off the lead after a 66 while Russell Knox hit a 71 - despite birdies at four of his first seven holes - to sit four under.
