Bryn takes a cab to plug album.

STRESSED-out businessmen are being soothed by opera superstar Bryn Terfel.

The Pantglas-born singer is plugging his new album Tutto Mozart! by piping his music into the back of a London cab.

People will be able to hail the cab, decorated with his album artwork, and sit back to listen to the Welsh star's new repertoire rather than get stressed out in the rush-hour traffic.

It is the first time a classical album has been promoted in this way.

Bryn joked: "I apologise to those who aren't fans and face a long trip with Mozart arias blasting their ears.

"But it's good to challenge stereotypes of cabbies. They need something to get away from the heavy traffic, so a high percentage listen to classical music."

The star's new album is full of operatic arias by the famous composer and is part of Deutsche Grammophon's Mozart Forever project to celebrate the 250th year since the composer's birth.

The album includes some of Mozart's greatest operatic arias from The Magic Flute, Don Giovanni, The Marriage Of Figaro and Cosi Fan Tutte.

If Tutto Mozart! is as popular as Terfel's last two albums it will go straight to the top of the classical album chart.

Tutto Mozart! Was out yesterday, price pounds 16.99, on the Deutsche Grammophon label
