Brydon shares his wisdom with future stars.

WITH a hit career as a comedy star, panel show host and actor, who better to share tips on a career in the acting business than Rob Brydon. The Gavin & Stacey star and presenter of Would I Lie To You led a masterclass at Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama for acting and musical theatre students.

As well as sharing stories from his own career, he took part in a Q&A, and led an improvisation session.

The masterclass, which was filmed as part of a BBC documentary to celebrate Baglan-born Brydon's forthcoming 50th birthday, came as it was revealed he will play a dwarf in new movie The Huntsman.

Melissa Bayern, one of the students taking part in the masterclass, said: "Rob was absolutely brilliant and the masterclass felt extremely personal and intimate.

"I definitely took away valuable knowledge that I can bring with me into my professional career."

Fellow student Caitlin McKee added: ""Being Cardiff-born and bred, it was especially inspiring to see a Welsh comedy legend take time out to talk to us."

Brydon got his big break with Marion and Geoff, which he starred in and co-wrote with fellow RWCMD graduate Hugo Blick.
