Bryan Ferry tickets go on sale today.

TICKETS go on sale today for a solo tour by iconic singer Bryan Ferry, to mark his four decades in showbiz.

The Roxy Music frontman will be performing next year in Salford and Liverpool.

The tour, his first since the Dylanesque tour in 2007, will feature both his usual band and also The Bryan Ferry Orchestra, with whom he has just released instrumental album The Jazz Age.

Bryan will be performing an eclectic selection of songs chosen from across his whole career to celebrate his 40 years as a singer and songwriter.

Born in Tyne and Wear into a farming family, Ferry became a pottery teacher after studying art at university. He went on to form Roxy Music with Graham Simpson, Andy Mackay and Brian Eno.
