Marie McWillie Bryan and John Reed Hill were united in marriage in a candlelight ceremony on November 7, 2008, at Broadmeadow United Methodist Church in Jackson. Dr. Will Jones and David Cooke officiated.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Franklin Jennings Bryan of Jackson. Grandparents of the bride are Mrs. David Evans Tipton and the late Mr. Tipton of Brownsville, Tennessee, and the late Mr. and Mrs. Franklin Jennings Bryan St. of West Point. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Lawrence Hill of Brownsville, Tennessee. Grandparents of the groom are Mr. and Mrs. Louis Baddour and the late Mr. and Mrs. Connie Virten Hill also of Brownsville.

Nuptial music was presented by Rosemary McInnis, organist; Jeff Carter, trumpeter; and Adam Cook soloist.

Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a strapless couture gown of ivory satin with a shirred sweetheart neckline. The natural waist featured bugle beads, pearls, sequins, and rocaille, an embellishment that flowed continuously onto both the A-line skirt and chapel-length train. Her veil was highlighted by her mother's illusion veil that featured Alencon lace. She wore pearl and diamond drop earrings, a gift from the bridegroom. The bride carried white hydrangeas, Eskimo roses, miniature calla lilies, stephanotis, and white stock hand tied with satin ribbon.

Sue Geter attended her sister as matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Nicole Brien, Elizabeth Carmichael, Ashley Collins, Ashley Cordua, Neelima Gutti, Cathy Lowe, Laurin Revere, and Dorothy Harvey and Suzanne Harvey, cousins of the bride. They wore teal matte taffeta gowns featuring V-necklines with ruched fitted bodices and A-line skirts. They carried bouquets of white hydrangeas and Eskimo roses.

Flower girl was Anne Marie Conerly, cousin of the bride. Honorary bridesmaids were Suzanne Tipton, Beth Tipton and Sarah Bright Faulkner, cousins of the bride; Kate Steiner; Marty Stoots; and Sue O'Hearn.

The bridegroom's father was the best man. Groomsmen were Shane Bond, Leif Craig, Jay Fletcher, Patrick O'Hearn, brother-in-law of the bride Joey Geter, Bradley Moore, Brooks Smith, Dr. Michael Steiner, Josh Stewart, and cousin of the bride Tom Tipton. Chase Conerly, cousin of the bride, served as acolyte.

Registry attendants were Meg Flowers, Cindy Williams, and Camon Franklin, cousin of the groom. The bride's proxy was Samantha Starks.

Following the ceremony, the bride's parents hosted a reception at the Mississippi Museum of Art, where the guests dined and were entertained by the music of Mo' Money.

On the eve of the wedding, the bridegroom's parents honored the couple with a rehearsal dinner at the Fairview Inn.

After a wedding trip to San Francisco and the Napa Valley, the couple is at home in Brandon.
