Bryan's TV series set to shock; TENEMENTS.

By MIRROR REPORTER FAIR city star Bryan Murray said people will be shocked by his new documentary series The Tenements.

Bryan was asked to present the TV3 series following his role as Bob Fitzpatrick in the drama Strumpet city.

He added: "We talk today about poverty here but what people lived through back in the days of the tenements was unbelievable.

"There were still tenements in Dublin up until the 1970s but at that stage they were run by the corporation.

"It is a series that will be quite raw for a lot of people whose relatives lived in the slums.

"We sent some families back to live in that kind of environment and they were reminded of the hardship and the kind of environments their parents had to endure for most of their lives.

"It was hard enough for them to do it for more than two or three days."

The Tenements begins on TV3 tonight.
