Bruker AXS.

Bruker AXS now offers SuperSpeed Solutions for its many research x-ray diffraction instruments. Although the basic design is unchanged, SuperSpeed Solutions includes improved source and detector options. The Turbo X-ray source increases x-ray flux by a factor of 8 or 9, and detector sensititivity has also been increased by a factor of roughly 10. The fast, one-dimensional VANTEC-1 detector, based on Bruker AXS's MikroGap technology, can take 100 millisecond "snapshots," providing real-time information on chemical reactions and phase transitions. Compared to earlier incarnations of Bruker's D4 and D8 platforms, the Superspeed options can add hundreds of thousands of dollars to the price tag.
