Bruker AXS closes x-ray microanalysis acquisitions.

Berlin, Germany and Rocky Hill, NJ 11/15/05 -- Bruker AXS has completed its acquisitions of Roentec AG (see IBO 10/15/05) and Princeton Gamma-Tech Instruments' x-ray microanalysis business (see IBO 10/31/05) to form Bruker AXS Microanalysis, which will be headed by Bruker AXS Executive Vice President Roger Durst. The management teams of both companies have been integrated. Bruker AXS estimates the acquisitions will be accretive to cash earnings per share in 2006.

Thomas Schuelein, formerly CEO of Roentec, has been appointed vice president for Microanalysis, and Douglas Skinner, previously CEO of Princeton Gamma-Tech, has been named assistant vice president for Microanalysis.
