Brown to blame for recesssion; letters@coventrytelegraph.net Letters.

JON Cleaver (Letters, May 26) obviously hasn't been reading my letters properly if he thinks I have been blaming everything on the Labour Party during their 13 years tenure, and while I know that past events will always shape a country's destiny, not all can be blamed on its history.

This recession was caused by events in recent years, and the failure to control and react to them by Gordon Brown, who we were repeatedly told was a economic guru, was damning in its incompetency.

Maybe when they update the book he refers to, Britain since 1945, last published in 2006, he will be able to read the years 2007-2010 and he will then know what he is talking about.
