Brown joins RGC academy team.
The 28-year-old hails from Staffordshire in the West Midlands and started playing golf at the age of eight.
A multi-talented sportsman in his youth, Brown was also an accomplished footballer and played for Kidderminster Harriers, West Bromwich Albion, Walsall and Cheltenham Town during his formative years.
At the age of 16 though, he took the decision to pursue a career in golf and after finishing college, he enrolled in the new Birmingham University Applied Golf Management Studies (AGMS).
Based on sports science and business studies, the degree has a close association with the PGA Training Academy at the Belfry and Brown duly graduated with a BA Honours degree and full PGA status in 2006.
The new addition joins the Royal Golf Club team from the Telford Hotel & Golf Resort in Shropshire, UK where, in his role of head golf professional, he was instrumental in building a strong junior section.
He has also recently completed his Titleist Performance Institute (TPI) training, levels 1 and 2.
"We are very excited about Craig joining our team," said the Royal Golf Club's director of golf operations Paul Crowe.
"At the Royal Golf Club we are committed to growing the sport amongst youngsters, both local and expat, and Craig's previous experience will be invaluable in attaining that goal."
