Broward's small firm networking group begins to draw crowds.
"The networking group features group members who speak about their own law firm's areas of practice, promoting the visibility of the participants," according to Nancy W. Gregoire, president of the Broward County Bar Association. "The Broward Bar has created these interactive programs to enhance networking opportunities for law firms having four or fewer attorneys."
"Some attorneys have already received case referrals from other participants," said Loring N. Spolter, a Ft. Lauderdale employ ment law attorney who is the group's chair. "Many of the participants are 'repeaters' who recognize how the networking group can assist in business development."
Attorneys and mediators working in a variety of legal fields comprise the Networking Group without any single practice type dominating, Spotter said. With so many participating attorneys, dinner events are now being held every other month. On those months between dinner programs, the networking group is organizing neighborhood lunches to create more business development opportunities.
