Brokers rise to challenge.
The seminar title "Real Estate: Challenges & Opportunities" was given by the renowned economist Dr. Irwin Kellner.
Dr. Kellner holds the Augusts B. Weller Distinguished Chair of Economics at Hofstra University, he is chief economist for CBS Market Watch, and he serves as chief economist for North Fork Bancorporation. Dr. Kellner is widely quoted in the print media as well as the author of many articles.
Over 40 people arrived at The Mansion at The Village Club, in Sands Point, eager to learn about interest rates and the possible and probable effect on the housing market.
The idea for this informational seminar was the brainchild of four top Laffey Associates, Edith E. Katz, Barbara Neuman, Diane Fraiman and Janet Vogt.
"After the seminar, people were coming up to us asking if we could sign them up for the next lecture. That was the best part and biggest reward we could have asked for," said Edith Katz, "because their satisfaction is really our success."
"All of us are very hands on and strive to provide a unique service for our clients," added Barbara Neuman.
