British and Kuwaiti officials discuss facilitation of entry procedures to UK.

Dean of Diplomatic Corps, Ambassador of the State of Kuwait to the United Kingdom Khaled Al-Duwaisan discussed here on Tuesdy with British officials ways to facilitate and simplify procedures for GCC nationals to enter the United Kingdom.This came during a meeting between Al-Duwaisan along with GCC ambassadors accredited in the UK with British Minister of State for the Middle East and a number of Ministers of State in the Foreign Office.Al-Duwaisan said that the ambassadors demanded the UK government to facilitate the entry procedures for the GCC citizens and to extend the period of they stay, especially those receiving treatment in British hospitals.He added that the United Kingdom is considered an attractive destination for a large number of GCC nationals, whether for treatment, tourism, study or business visits undertaken by the business.He pointed out that the British ministers, in turn, confirmed that this issue has high priority in the government of Prime Minister David Cameron and promised to study it closely.He said the meeting also discussed a number of topics of interest to the GCC States and Britain in all fields, praising the historical relations between the two sides.For his part, British Minister of State for the Middle East and North Africa Alistair Burt said he briefed the GCC ambassadors on ways his government was seeking to upgrade its relations with the countries of the Gulf.He also reviewed with the ambassadors the march of successful cooperation between the UK and the GCC in recent years, in addition to a wide range of issues.
