British Lyceum Capital takes over Clearswift.


29 November 2011 - British private equity firm Lyceum Capital Partners LLP said Tuesday it had taken control of digital security software company Clearswift Ltd for an undisclosed price.

With the deal, giving Lyceum a significant majority stake in Clearswift, the private equity firm brings total deal value in the IT industry so far this year to over GBP100m (USD155.9/EUR117.1m), it said in a statement.

Theale-based Clearswift, with about 170 employees, provides security software products that manage inbound threats, data loss prevention, web access policies and compliance across both web and email communications.The company also has operations in Germany, Spain, Japan, the US, Australia and Holland.
