Britain beaten; SPORT SHORTS: ICE HOCKEY.

GREAT Britain suffered World Championship defeat to hosts Slovenia last night after Ziga Jeglic's overtime goal.

Jan Urbas put Slovenia ahead in the first period and when Rok Ticar doubled their lead in the second, Britain looked dead and buried.

But Ashley Tait and Mark Garside struck to level in the final period.

After Ticar restored Slovenia's lead, Jonathan Phillips took the game into the extra period to earn Britain a point - only for Jeglic to win it for Slovenia.
