Britain Today: Olympic evictions.
A "HANDFUL" of people could face eviction from their homes to make way for the Olympic Park, it was confirmed yesterday. The London Development Agency (LDA), which takes ownership of the 312 hectares of land in Stratford, east London, on July 2, is preparing for "one or two" people to dig their heels in, in protest at the Games, a spokesman said.
In a "managed exit" with a few agreed exceptions, everyone should be out by the end of July so that the Olympic Delivery Authority (ODA) can take over.
