Biopharmaceutical company Bristol-Myers Squibb Company (NYSE:BMY) revealed on Thursday the appointment of Mike Burgess MD PhD as senior vice president of its Discovery Medicine and Clinical Pharmacology.
In the new role, Dr Burgess will report to the company's MB BChir FRCP senior vice president, Research, R&D, Francis Cuss, and will be a member of the Research Senior Leadership Team.
Most recently, Dr Burgess has served as interim head of Hoffman La-Roche's
Pharma Research and Early Development organisation, led its Oncology Discovery and Translational Area and was the head of Global Large Molecule Research. Previously, he was as a medical fellow at Eli Lilly and Company.
Currently, Dr Burgess is a member of the Royal College of Physicians and the Royal College of Pediatrics and Child Health.
