Brisbane cops to return to duty after nude buck's party prank.

Melbourne, Oct 4 (ANI): The six Australian cops, who were seen by members of the public running around naked during a buck's party last year, have been allowed to return to their duties.

The men, five from the Special Emergency Response Team and one from the Tactical Crime Squad, are expected to return to their normal roles within a month.

The off-duty men were seen running naked around their van at Capalaba in Brisbane's east during a buck's party prank last September.

The men were suspended from full operational duties pending an investigation, and last month some were demoted while others were hit with pay cuts.

Acting Deputy Commissioner Andy Henderson told the officers last week they could return to full duties once they have satisfied re-qualification criteria specific to their roles.

For the highly trained SERT officers it means they will have to retrain and pass further tests in weapons use and combat skills.

"This is a very good result for these officers and they are looking forward to returning to their duties," quoted police union president Ian Leavers as saying.

"They have accepted the outcome," he stated.

Leavers said it was concerning that it has taken one year for the process to reach this final stage and the union would continue discussing ways to make disciplinary procedures more efficient and effective with QPS and the Crime and Misconduct Commission.

Of the six disciplined, two still have unresolved appeals. (ANI)
