Music giants Eric Clapton, Stevie Wonder and 30 Seconds to Mars are coming to Yas Island

If you thought Nelly Furtado, Guns N' Roses, The Jonas Brothers and David Guetta were as big as it was going to get in Abu Dhabi then think again. Flash Entertainment has topped its own concert series having just announced music giants Stevie Wonder, Eric Clapton, 30 Seconds to Mars and Tiesto as the line-up for the 2011 Yas Island Show Weekends.

Following the massive success of this year's series, which took place throughout November and December, the programme kicks off in style with legendary guitarist Eric Clapton at the Yas Arena on February 11, followed a week later by DJ Tiesto spinning at the Flash Forum on February 17.

American rock band 30 Seconds to Mars will play on March 11, with the announced programme rounding off a few weeks later with iconic Stevie Wonder performing at the Yas Arena on March 18.

This will be Tiesto's much anticipated, rescheduled performance in the Emirates. His planned gig this year, via the Kaleidoscope tour, was cancelled due to technical issues at the venue.

30 Seconds to Mars, fronted by actor Jared Leto, also make their Middle East debut. The American three piece have been rocking packed arenas around the world and will be bringing their This is Mars album tour show to the capital.

A spokesperson for Flash also added that Wonder's performance on March 18 will not be the final show of the year as more concerts are planned for April and through the summer.
